Disability has been referred to as an ‘embodied difference’, but the term may also refer to physical and/or mental characteristics that some institutions, like medicine, view as needing to be fixed. According to the World Report on Disability, 15% of the global population is impacted with disability. It is quite unfortunate to note that a significant number of disabled people are socio-economically discriminated and exploited in developing and under developed countries. We aim at generating awareness about various forms of disability, promoting and supporting special education and training for disabled children and adults as well as rehabilitation of disabled orphans in both rural and urban sectors.
